Transfer #8 Our biggest yet!

This last week has been our biggest transfer---25 going home including our temple square sisters and senior couple who left a week before the big transfer....and only 11 came in.  So--32 for dinner on Sunday, 20 spending the night here, 27 for breakfast on Monday,  19 for lunch, 20 for dinner,  15 for breakfast on Tuesday and 30 sack lunches----a great weekend!  Luckily I have some one help me with food now so things run a lot smoother.

It is an amazing group that have left--more than 10% of the mission--many of them leaders--all of them very loved by us. Here are some photos from Sunday and Monday of the group leaving--first of all in their pj's-aren't they cute!  Then the various activities of the evening....after interviews, dinner and a testimony meeting, they some times play games, write in their journal, talk, a few watched a motivational movie that Mark loves.....then the morning load up----they weigh the bags the night before which is good.

Many of them have to leave behind numerous things because their bags are so overweight.  Can you even imagine how many towels we have in this house and how many bottles of lotion, shaving cream or shampoo?  I look at everyone as they leave and have very special feelings for them.  We come to love them in a way I never imagined.  My emotions were very strong with so many going.  We took them to the airport and helped them check in, waved goodbye and then waited for the new group.  The new group come in the same plane that most of the missionaries go home in so they all talk on the other side of security for some time before we see them.  Usually we are reviewing the names and faces of the new group at that time.  When they came through to baggage we hug and are all so excited to have yet another group of marvelous young people join us here in the Washington Spokane Mission.
