The Transfer Board

Here is a photo of our transfer board. All the photos of the missionaries, sorted into their zones and districts. The missionaries love to look at it when they come over--seeing where all their friends and previous companions are. In the office Mark has one about four times this size. Whenever one of them calls me about an illness, I come to the board and look at their photo--it helps me think of them and feel like I know them that little bit more.

  1. Lot's of work to keep that updated, I bet. What a wonderful way to be in the loop with the missionaries. We hope you all are doing well. We love seeing Chelsea and little E everyday. We wish we were seeing more of Ryan. Busy season is thankfully over soon.

  2. Wow-this is a really great picture!
    NEWSFLASH!!!
Funny thing, I was JUST NOW talking to my brother-in-law's brother's wife, who lives in the Salt Lake area. They have a son who came into the MTC on March 17th and is going to the Australia Sydney South Mission on April 6th. He just happened to come to me to put his nametag on-I did not know he was coming in, so I was excited when I saw his name. I said my brother-in-law's name-Wayne, and he said "That's my Uncle!" I told him who I was-my sister Karen is his aunt. We had a good chat. I have been sending this Elder a letter and goodies for the last several weeks, and I wanted to tell his mom.
OK, now to the point where you come in!
I asked her if this son in the MTC was her oldest-she said no, her oldest son is in the WASHINGTON SPOKANE MISSION-Elder Abraham Collier-zone leader in the Moses Lake area!!! How cool is that?! I told Sister Collier that I knew and loved you and Mark, how I knew you, and that her son was lucky to have such fine a Mission President and his wife. I guess he comes home in September. I looked at your transfer board, and I think I see which one he is :) I have never met him, only his parents when my sister was married, and his younger brother a couple of weeks ago-Elder Jonathan Collier. SMALL WORLD! So, thanks for posting this!
